RZ 350 Crankcases

TDR now has available Sand Cast, Die Cast, and Billet versions of the RZ 350 crankcases.

SAND CAST CRANKCASES: The cast version will be able to accept the larger strokes and bore cylinders.  One of the outstanding features is that they will have a cassette style transmission. This means that the transmission is on a self-contained Cassette that when the clutch basket has been removed the complete transmission will be able to be removed from the clutch side of the cases without removing the engine from the chassis or any further disassembly.  This feature has been used for years in the road race industry and now will be available from TDR. Prototype is now being designed and machining will be done soon.

BILLET MODULAR CRANKCASES: The billet crankcases will be able to accept larger strokes and bores the same as the cast crankcases. The Billet crankcase will have a Cassette style transmission as well. The difference is that the billet case is stronger, last longer and modular build.  By using a modular construction format, we are able to piece different size transmissions, crankshafts, 2-, or 3-cylinder crank sections together to have multiple engine/transmission configurations. We will soon be posting prototype versions and racing them in 2021. TDR is building multiple projects that require a wide variety of crankshaft widths, drive sprocket locations, and clutch/transmission placement to get the perfect combination for our 2-, 3-, and 4-cylinder engines under development.

BILLET CRANKCASES by Mattoon Machine:

Mattoon Machine makes billet crankcases for stock to large stroker motors including 3 and 4 cylinder versions.

DIE CAST Crankcase by Driveline:

These are our new die cast Driveline Banshee cases that we have been developing for the last 5 years. We have made a lot of changes to the OEM design while still retaining the stock look. We have added extra material in all the places the stock cases were lacking for today’s larger stroke cranks and aftermarket cylinders. You can trench these cases up to a 14mm stroke without any epoxy or welding. The top case can be bored and machined to fit a DM cylinder and not break through on the sides of the transfers.

We offer the cases untrenched which will fit a stock stroke crankshaft or a 4 mm crankshaft. You can fit a stock cylinder or any 68mm aftermarket cylinder and have a lot more top gasket sealing area compared to OEM especially with cub, or serval cylinders that have larger transfer areas.

DIE CAST Stroker Crankcases by Driveline

These are our new die cast Driveline Banshee cases that we have been developing for the last 5 years. We have made a lot of changes to the OEM design while still retaining the stock look. We have added extra material in all the places the stock cases were lacking for today’s larger stroke cranks and aftermarket cylinders. You can trench these cases up to a 14mm stroke without any epoxy or welding. The top case can be bored and machined to fit a DM cylinder and not break through on the sides of the transfers.

This set of engine cases are pre-trenched and will fit a 7mill or a 10mill crankshaft. The sealing area is much more on these cases because of the extra material we have added compared to stock cases that have been trenched for a 7mill or 10mill crank.
